Open events

This event is for our internal Year 11 students. The students will complete 3 activities: a careers talk, a talk from the Sandbach College leadership team and student leaders and the subject information marketplace. Students will be given details and advice for potential next steps.

1.15pm – 3.15pm

College in Action Day is for Sandbach High School Year 11 students. They will experience a full day as a college student. The day is non-uniform; students will complete 5 Sixth Form lessons of their choice and will be able to use the college facilities including the Café.

8.30am – 3.15pm

This event is for anyone who is interested in joining our Sixth Form. There will be two presentations from the College Leadership team at 5.15pm and 6.15 in the main hall. There are also subject stands represented by specialist teachers to give information on each qualification we offer. You do not need to book, just turn up.

5.00pm – 7.00pm

All applicants will require a College guidance interview. You will be sent invitations for your College Guidance interview once you have applied to the College via our online form. During this meeting, a member of the College leadership team will discuss your choices, offer advice and answer any questions that you may have.

Our Sandbach College Elite Academic Programme (SCEAP) is open to students who achieve grade 7.5 or higher on average in their GCSEs. Students and parents are welcome to find out about this programme at our SCEAP information evening. An email will be sent with further details to applicants closer to the time.

External College in Action Day is for external Year 11 students. They will experience a full day as a college student. The day is non-uniform; students will complete 5 Sixth Form lessons of their choice and will be able to use the college facilities including the Café. All external applicants will be invited to this event.

8.30am – 3.15pm

Students will select taster enrichment pathways from our college offer during Period 4 and will be given the option of our College Quiz or sporting event during Period 5. The event is to show our wide range of enrichment and will give the students insight into the vast array of opportunities we offer.

All applicants will receive an invitation to our College Offer Holders’ Day. This is a transition day where students will complete their first lesson in their chosen subjects, complete induction tasks in a study period and attend an enrichment activity.

8.30am – 3.15pm

Enrolment day is GCSE results day (Thursday 20^th August), you will complete the application process and formally enrol on this day. You will be given all information you require ready for your September start.

8.30am – 12.30pm

As part of your transition into college, Year 12 induction day will take place on Wednesday 2^nd September. Only Year 12 students will be in College on that day to help you settle in!
